Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf in one day
The main combination is a private full-day trip that lasts 10 hours. It includes a private transfer from your hotel, a guide, access to the Sugarloaf cable car via Morro da Urca and a Corcovado train ticket with access to the statue. A short stop at the Maracanã comes first. It is a brief stop, not a tour inside the stadium.
This is a commercial package. There is no government ticket that covers both mountains. If you prefer to do each sight on your own, the cable car page and the guide to the statue explain both. Details about the statue, the train and the viewing platform are on the sister site, so this page stays with the combination and the transfers.

Our picks: Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf
Both half-day tours include the Sugarloaf ticket, so choose by timing: the first ends with sunset on the summit and adds the Selarón Steps, the second is a minivan trip to both landmarks. On the full-day tour Sugarloaf is part of the programme only in the options that name it, so check the option before you book.

Three ways to see both
A private day trip, two separate bookings, or a city tour with one of them.
| Option | Time | What you organise | Entry tickets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private full-day trip | 10 hours | Nothing, transfer and guide are included | Cable car and Corcovado train are in the package |
| Two separate days or half-days | Your own pace | Tickets and transport for each sight | Cable car from BRL 205, statue tickets on the sister site |
| City tour with the cable car | About 4 hours | Nothing, pickup at selected hotels | Cable car only with the matching option |
For most visitors with a single day in Rio and no wish to plan transport, the private full-day trip is the simplest way to see both. If you stay several days and want to choose your own clear weather, book the two sights separately.
What is included

- Lunch: Depends on the option you select. The inclusion list for your option decides, so read it before you pay.

Dates, exceptions and cancellation
No trip on Carnival days
The private full-day trip does not run on Carnival days. Carnival parades in 2027 take place on 7, 8 and 9 February.
Best time to visit →Four days at year end
The trip also does not run on 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January.
Cancel up to 24 hours before
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the start.
Clouds are not a promise
Both viewpoints depend on the weather. No booking guarantees a clear view, so a day with flexibility helps.
Doing it on your own
Booking each sight yourself means more planning, but you choose the day and the time. The cable car ticket starts at BRL 205 as of October 2026, with the full table on the cable car page. For the statue, the Corcovado train and the Christ the Redeemer tickets are described on the sister site. You can also look at guided tours that cover only Sugarloaf, or see Rio from the air on a helicopter flight.
What to expect at Sugarloaf on the day
The Sugarloaf part is a ride in two legs, first to Morro da Urca at 220 m, then to the summit at 396 m. The cabins have transparent sides and take up to 65 people. Demand is highest between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., so a booked slot earlier in the day may mean less waiting. A package does not remove every queue.
The entrance rules apply to everyone. No drones or glass containers, no bags larger than 25 × 35 × 55 cm, and no entry barefoot, in swimwear or without a shirt. Under 16 only with a parent or a responsible adult. Read more on the cable car page and the Morro da Urca page.
